About Me
Leo Truant
My name is Leo Truant and I am currently a first year student at SAIT in Architectural Technologies.
My architectural journey began right out of high school. I started SAIT's continuing education program; AutoCAD Certification of Completion. After the year ended, I attended Mount Royal University for two semesters in Open Studies. I took a variety of courses, including Art History, two semesters of Italian, Geology and finally "Intro to Architecture". Taking this course inspired me to lean towards architecture - as I was enthralled in the intellectual study about "starchitects" and building philosophy/design. While I attended MRU, I had several opportunities to connect with notable architects/ interior designers in Calgary, and interviewed them to become more clear eyed about the world of design.
From these interviews I learned about SAIT’s Architectural Technologies program, which intrigued me as I knew the school offered a hands-on learning experience. When I was accepted to the program, I was very excited and confirmed my spot with no hesitation!
My hobbies include boxing, rock climbing, hiking, drawing/painting, photography, and learning on YouTube. I also have a cat named Nala, who is currently 3 years old.
